Joy Therapy and Learning Center

We maximize the potential of every child we serve.

Our therapists have years of experience providing essential services for children age birth to 21, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, early intervention, ABA therapy, feeding therapy, and parent education and support. In partnership with parents and caregivers, we celebrate where each child is today and work toward who they can become.

How we work

Parents are involved every step of the way, every day.

Parents are partners in their child’s therapy. We teach you how to include therapeutic strategies in your child’s daily routine, so progress keeps happening in the hours you spend together rather than only in the hour you spend with us.

  • You are in the room, not in the waiting area
  • Your therapist models a strategy, then coaches you through it
  • You leave with one or two things to try, not ten

What we do

An array of services to benefit a child’s many needs

Every service is delivered by licensed clinicians who specialize in children. Where a child needs more than one, our teams coordinate with each other.

Speech and Language Therapy

Our licensed speech-language pathologists assess, develop and enhance a child's ability to communicate, from first words through complex conversation.

One building, one team

Every discipline under one roof.

When a child receives speech, occupational and physical therapy here, the clinicians involved talk to each other, often on the same day. Goals are written so they reinforce one another instead of pulling in different directions, and you are not left relaying information between providers who have never met.

It is what makes our ABA different, too. Our ABA is developmental and play based, with direct support from the speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists and physical therapists working in the same building.

Our Cumming center has the gym, sensory and treatment space that home visits cannot offer, and we serve children from birth all the way through age 21.

What parents tell us

“My daughter was struggling with her handwriting and balance. After only two sessions, we (and her teachers) were starting to see a big difference. She loves going to Joy, and asks when she gets to come back each time!”
Parent of a school age daughter, occupational therapy
“[Our therapist] gave awesome pointers that helped the overall progression of my son's speech and showed a genuine interest in my son. I'm glad to have found this program and highly recommend Joy Therapy to anyone.”
Parent of a toddler, early intervention
“We use them for OT, PT, SLP, and ABA so they really are more like family to us. You won't find a better group of people to love on your kiddo.”
